Fabulous Fiber

I’m still working on the art of dyeing fiber. It’s improving with every attempt. No colorway names on these little rovings yet. That will come to me as I spin them.

This fiber is spinning into an almost solid grey blue. I’m pretty much losing any turquoise that was is there. That’s fine, as it will likely be knit in to something for my grey and blue wearing husband anyway.
Another thing I’ve discovered is that this (Louet) Corriedale isn’t my favorite fiber. I find it a little rough for my tastes. Perhaps I’ll change my mind after I finish spinning the two pounds of it that I have.
In crochet updates, The Crochet Blanket is moving along nice, but slow.

I’ve added Boudoir, Bark and Aquae stripes. I have at least another three colors to add before I start the sequence over again.

I’m drooling over that blue roving…
I am just loving that crochet blanket. Are you following a pattern or are you making it up yourself?
That blanket’s so pretty - great stitch pattern.
I’m a new member of Hello Yarn’s fiber club, and so far my favorite to spin has been either the merino or the BFL - her latest was …..Falklands wool and it was really……..slubby. I’m getting to where I don’t totally suck anymore as a spinner, and so having these huge blobs of solid wool show up so frequently making my otherwise somewhat smooth singles splat out was actually really really annoying! I’ve ordered a dye kit from her, along with some BFL and some ultra-fine merino to mess around with myself - I can hardly wait to see the difference and see how they both turn out!
Your colours are just STUNNING. Make sure you do a huge announcement when you start selling your stuff - I can hardly wait to grab up a bag or two! ;)
Beautiful!
What stitch are you using… I love it!
