Pattern :: Meida’s Socks by Nancy Bush
Source :: Favorite Socks
Yarn :: Mama Blue Knitting Goods, 1 skein Sea Merino in ‘Lover’
Needle :: Knit Picks us2, 2.75mm
Started :: February 5, 2008
Finished :: April 13, 2008
Modifications :: More repeats on the leg, because I dislike wearing ankle socks.

The first few times I flipped through my copy of Favorite Socks, I passed right over this pattern. The photos of the finished socks didn’t appeal to me. Anklets in white cotton yarn? No thanks.

Then I really took a good look at the stitch pattern. Its beautiful! Cables with no cable needle! Even better. I ditched the cotton yarn idea, grabbed a skein of my Sea Merino, and cast on.

These were an absolute pleasure to knit. Even better to wear.

Simply, utterly gorgeous. I will definitely be making my own very, very soon.
GOD THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL. You just made me flip over and add it to my queue. Course, I think for me maybe in emerald or yellow. Thank you for the inspriation.
the socks are absolutely beautiful! what kind of heel is that?
These are seriously stunning!
Those are a beautiful pattern and I have that pink merino I bought from you…I need to make those socks out of that. I will have to get that book, I think you have made some other socks from it a while back and they were really great.
BEAUTIFUL! I made that pattern last year and ended up giving them to my mom because I could get them on!
Beautiful socks - that color is wonderful!
pretty pretty pretty socks. sigh, love the scalloped cuff.

I passed by these, too - thanks for pointing out their potential to me. Your version looks wonderful.
